Tineco FLOOR ONE S3 Pro cordless wet-dry floor cleaner used to clean Arizona dust from hard floors

How I Use My Tineco FLOOR ONE S3 Pro to Clean Arizona Dust From Our Floors

September 01, 20264 min read

Living in Arizona means sunshine, beautiful desert views—and dust that somehow finds its way into the house no matter what we do.

After one of our dust storms, I walked over by the front door in my bare feet and could actually feel the dusty dirt on the floor—yuck! Between the fine Arizona dust, the dog hair and my hair that seems to get everywhere, the floor needed more than a quick vacuum. It needed to be washed, too, so I pulled out my Tineco FLOOR ONE S3 Pro wet-dry floor cleaner.

Here is the short video I made while cleaning the dusty floor. I left the Tineco’s voice prompts audible for part of the video so you can hear what the machine sounds like while it is being used.

Why I Reach for the Tineco After an Arizona Dust Storm

Arizona dust is very fine. Even when the doors and windows are closed, it can leave a visible film on hard floors—especially around entrances and other high-traffic areas.

What I like about the FLOOR ONE S3 Pro is that it picks up loose debris—including all that hair—and washes the hard floor during the same cleaning session. For this kind of dusty mess, that is much more convenient than vacuuming first and then bringing out a separate mop and bucket.

I fill the clean-water tank, start at the dustiest area and make slow, steady passes. If the floor is especially dirty, I go over the area again instead of trying to rush through it. When I finish, I empty and rinse the dirty-water tank and clean the parts that collected the dirt. That last step matters in Arizona because the fine dust can build up quickly.

What I Honestly Like About It

  • It vacuums and washes in one cleaning session. That saves me from doing two separate jobs when the floor needs more than a dry vacuum.

  • I can see the difference. The dusty film is removed and the floor looks refreshed instead of merely swept.

  • It is convenient for everyday hard-floor messes. I like being able to grab one machine for tracked-in dust, crumbs and similar messes.

  • The voice prompts are cool. The cleaner tells me what it needs while I am using it, and I like that feature.

  • There is no traditional mop bucket to carry around. The machine keeps the clean and dirty water separated.

  • It is cordless. There is no cord trailing behind me or getting caught on furniture while I clean.

A Few Honest Cons

  • It still needs cleanup after use. I empty and rinse the dirty-water tank and clean the brush area. Leaving dirty water sitting in any wet-dry cleaner can lead to odors.

  • The voice prompts may be louder than some people prefer. You can hear them in my video. I do not mind them, but it is worth knowing before you buy.

  • It is for sealed hard floors—not carpet cleaning. I still need another vacuum for rugs, carpet and upholstery.

  • It is not as simple as grabbing a dry mop. You need to add water before cleaning and take care of the machine afterward.

  • It is an investment. Whether it is worth the price depends on how much hard flooring you have and how often you would use the two-in-one cleaning feature.

Is the Tineco FLOOR ONE S3 Pro Worth It?

For our home, it has been a helpful tool—especially after Arizona wind and dust leave that stubborn film on the floors. I appreciate being able to pick up debris and wash the floor without switching between a vacuum and a mop.

It is not maintenance-free, and it does not replace every cleaning tool in the house. I still have to clean the machine after using it, and I use a regular vacuum for carpeted areas. But for sealed hard floors and dusty everyday messes, I am glad to have it.

If you live in a dusty climate, have pets, or simply want to combine two floor-cleaning steps into one, the FLOOR ONE S3 Pro may be worth considering.
